Valve Guide Replacement

$10.00 Steel

If your cylinder head has replaceable guides, we can punch them out and install brand new ones.  The process requires the new guide to be reamed and honed to the valve plus oil clearance.  Next the seat must be worked, as the new guide has a new valve center.  The seat will need to be cut after new guides are installed.  

$15.00 Bronze

Includes

1.  Does not include price of the new guide. 

2.  Valves is generally required for fitment.

3.  Can be Steel or Bronze

4,  Bronze is honed with Diamond honing stones.

Attention:  

1.  Valve and Guide are required in the shop for this service.

2.  Sometimes Oversize guides are required as bore can enlarge when heads get overheated.  We need to hone the casting to fitment and order oversize OD guides.  They are generally .002".
